The Aims of the TTBS

Our Aims are to help those in reduced circumstances who have been employed in the UK by a qualifying business for at least 10 years. Qualifying businesses include timber merchants, timber importers, timber exporters and agents.

We welcome referrals from individuals, other charities, as well as from existing beneficiaries.

Who qualifies?

To qualify for assistance applicants should:

  • Have worked for a Timber Merchant, A timber importer or exporter or an agent.
  • Been employed in the trade for a minimum of 10 years.
  • or be the partner of a qualifying person.
  • or the dependant child of a qualifying person.

TTBS Income

We receive about 1/3 of our income from investments, with the balance coming from local and national fundraising events together with contributions from firms, organisations and individuals connected to the timber trade.
