TTBS National Golf Day goes off with a bang! -
With hardly a drop of rain in the previous ten years of the competition the TTBS Golf Day on Friday 8th July at Dalmahoy, Edinburgh sponsored by BSW, suffered for the many years of good weather. All went very well in the morning, but just after lunch the course was hit by a tremendous thunderstorm with torrential rain flooding the course and inundating the hotel in a few places.
In addition to the magnificent support from BSW, additional sponsorships were provided by Arch Timber Protection, Cheshire Mouldings, Howies, IADA, Taylor Made Timber, Ernest Bennett, and International Timber. The ‘goody bags’ for the day were provided by Valmar, who had their latest side loader on display near the first tee.
The TTBS would like to thank all the players and sponsors for their continuing support of this event and especially Eve Johnson of BSW for all the work she put in behind the scenes in making the day so successful.
Please look out for details of next year’s event in the TTJ and on the TTBS website.

In recognition of Alan Wheat's contribution to the TTBS competition over many years, BSW donated a new trophy this year. The Alan Wheat Memorial Bowl was presented for the longest drive in the singles competition and was presented to James Lewis of A.B.Lewis Ltd. By Ian North TTBS trustee.
